Advecia

Advecia® is an all-natural nutritional supplement formulated to help slow the effects of hair loss and promote hair growth. Advecia® contains botanically-based nutrients such as saw palmetto, phytosterol complex, beta sitosterol, green tea extract, l-lysine, l-arginine, grape seed extract, and proanthocyanidins/procyanidins. Advecia® is a hair loss solution for both men and women.

Male or female pattern baldness, known as Androgenetic alopecia (AGA), is a common form of hair loss in men and women. Male pattern baldness is caused by an overproduction of the androgenic hormone, dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT is a potent form of testosterone known to stimulate prostate growth and scalp hair loss. An enzyme produced in the prostate, adrenal glands and scalp, called 5-alpha-reductase, metabolizes the male hormone testosterone into DHT.

Advecia's® botanically-based nutrients block the damaging effects of 5-alpha-reductase and stop the production of DHT, making hair healthier, stronger and thicker. These natural 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors don't have the hormonal side effects associated with many prescription hair loss medications. They can reduce and even stop further hair loss.

In a placebo-controlled, double-blind study, male subjects with mild to moderate AGA were administered saw palmetto extract and beta-sitosterol (a phytosterol found in many plants and grains). Findings revealed that 60 percent of the participants experienced improvement in hair loss. Another double-blind study reports that non-anemic, iron deficient women with increased hair shedding experienced significant improvement in hair loss when treated with l-lysine and iron therapy.

An effective hair loss treatment would be to take Advecia® in conjunction with Rogaine® (Minoxidil) or Thymuskin. Rogaine® is a FDA-approved medication for hair loss treatment. Thymuskin was formulated by German physicians and has yielded a 67% success rate in men, and 95% success rate in women. Since Rogaine®, Thymuskin, and Advecia® target hair loss in different ways, when combined they may help increase the rate of hair growth. However, women should not use Rogaine Extra Strength (minoxidil 5%).

Advecia® should be used for at least 6 months to experience results. Advecia® is free of most side effects, However, Advecia's® manufacturer, Progressive Health Nutraceuticals Inc, recommends consulting with your physician if you suffer from any pre-existing conditions (other than hair loss), known allergies, or if you are currently taking any medications.
